Regenerating landscapes
through water.

Regenerating
landscapes
through
water.

Supporting municipalities and farms with regenerative water management solutions
for more productive and secure landscapes.

What’s the cost
of draining the landscape?

We live in a paradox:
too much water when we don’t need it and little-to-none when it’s vital.

Water doesn’t nourish

Degraded soils now impermeable repel the rain instead of absorbing it. Water washes away, leaving it even more barren.

Soil structure weakens

When water accelerates, it erodes the soil. Rootless river banks and slopes lose strength and stability, threatening nearby infrastructure.

Costs overflow

Chasing emergencies costs us greatly. This reactive approach to climate issues is costing us lives and billions. It’s time to start structural preventive measures that think ahead.

Slow it.
Spread it.
Sink it.

Water Roots’ method.

Conventional practices try to get rid of water as fast as possible. We do the opposite. Following permacultural principles developed by the agronomist Bill Mollison and David Holmgren, then worked and tested by our mentors Zac Weiss, Lorenzo Costa and Danilo D’Antoni.

Thanks to targeted work on the land, to rainwater capture, selected tree planting and low-tech solutions, we restore soil’s natural sponge-like behaviour.

Our goals?

  • To slow down runoff and facilitate its infiltration.
  • To recharge aquifers and nourish plants and soil.
  • To rebalance ecosystems, allowing them to self regulate again.

Not just technique,
it’s a balancing need.

This project started to be a concrete response to the climate crisis. We offer practical solutions to people to grant them a safer and water independent environment.

Is your land
ready for
the next rain?

Join me in the process of restoring land through water. Here's how we can help.

A space we co-design together.

We’ll share every step of the design with full transparency and no pre-programmed solutions.
Every land has its own nature and history, and I respect both.
